Peugeot 208 – Pictures and Details
Peugeot has unveiled the new B segment, Peugeot 208. This new model, known originally as A9, will be available in two versions, with 3 and 5-door, and the idea behind it is to reinvent the principles that have made so popular models 205, 206 and 207. To achieve this, the French car manufacturer has applied the formula of “regeneration” of the entire machine, meaning everything from architecture to design and ergonomics of the efficiency was improved.
The new Peugeot 208 weighs 110kg less than the 207 with a total weight of 975 kg, or drag coefficient is 0.29. Even if a vehicle is compact, with 7 cm shorter and 1 cm shorter than 207 passenger space is more generous than that offered by its predecessor, offering 5 cm more legroom.
Design of the new Peugeot 208 is strongly influenced by the new Peugeot model range coming with typical elements of the new directions and new front grille design and boomerang headlights look. The new 208, Peugeot has tried to create a profound impact in terms of design and details of the exterior is reflected inside where the French company has redesigned the majority of instruments.
As for propulsion, the new Peugeot 208 uses the latest micro-system e-HDi hibrd for all 5 models and even if the French had no details of each engine, we know that the diesel engines will have a fuel consumption of 3.4 liters per 100 km with CO2 emission value of 87 g / km, while the petrol version will have 1.0 and 1.2 liter engines in the 3-cylinder VTi which will have a consumption of 4.3 liters per 100 km and a value CO2 emissions of 99 g / km.
Four of the 5 Peugeot 208 will be standard equipped with Stop & Start technology.
